Condong Catur, Sleman. Pada Senin, 9 Januari 2023 pukul 18.00 WIB- 19.00 WIB, Komunitas Wisma Skolastikat Claretian Yogyakarta (WSCY) mengadakan doa Taize online bersama keluarga Claretian. Keluarga Claretian yang dimaksud adalah keluarga besar para frater, kerabat dan mahasiswa rantau. Doa ini dipimpin oleh Fr. Adrianus Musu Sili, CMF dengan tema: “Mimpi Bersama Keluarga Kudus Nazaret”. Kegiatan ini merupakan bentuk aktualisasi dari proyek komunitas WSCY impian 1 dalam tekad ke-3: “Melakukan Ibadat Taize Komunitas dan juga bersama umat”.
Dalam Taize tersebut, inspirasi renungan berasal dari Injil Matius 2:13-15 tentang “Penyingkiran ke Mesir”. Dalam renungannya, Fr. Adris, CMF menegaskan bahwa “Yusuf mendapat perintah dari Allah untuk membawa Yesus dan Maria keluar dari Israel menuju mesir karena ada persoalan. Tak banyak bicara ataupun kompromi, mereka langsung menanggapi perintah Allah tersebut dengan hati pasrah namun penuh kepercayaan menuju mesir. Jika kita melihat sepintas tentang alasan dari perintah ini, maka kita menemukan bahwa Yusuf dan Maria pergi ke mesir untuk mengamankan Yesus dari ancaman Herodes. Akan tetapi, poin dari perintah itu bukan hanya sebatas pergi dan aman, melainkan lebih dari itu adalah penggenapan Firman Allah. di mana Allah mengatakan, ‘dari Mesir Kupanggil Anak-Ku’”.
“Bagi saya, itu adalah mimpi utama dari keluarga kudus Nazaret yang mana menjaga dan membantu Yesus Kristus untuk menjalankan karya keselamatan Allah. Kita tentu tahu bahwa mimpi Yusuf bertemu dengan malaikat berbeda dengan Yusuf dan Maria mengimpikan keluarganya yang siap menyukseskan karya keselamatan dari Yesus Kristus. Alasannya adalah mimpi Yusuf bertemu dengan malaikat itu sebagai cara Allah menyapa manusia sedangkan mimpi Yusuf dan Maria untuk menjaga dan membantu Yesus Kristus adalah tanggapan manusiawi untuk Allah atau tanggapan iman mereka. Selain itu, mereka juga sadar bahwa Allah telah hadir dalam rupa manusia di tengah-tengah mereka. Gambaran umumnya adalah hidup dalam naungan Allah maka semua persoalan akan ada jalan keluarnya. Selayaknya, mimpi keluarga kita sama dengan Keluarga Kudus Nazaret yakni hidup dalam naungan Tuhan. Kita mesti menanggapi saapan Allah dengan tindakan kasih dalam keluarga”, tegas Fr. Adris, CMF dalam renunganya.
Setelah doa ini ada sapaan hangat dari P. Damasus Sumardi, CMF sebagai Rektor Wisma Skolastikat Claretian Yogyakarta. Kemudian dilanjutkan saling sapa satu sama lain. Kegiatan ini dibuat untuk meningkatkan rasa persaudaraan anggota komunitas WSCY dengan keluarga, umat dan kaum muda. (Laporan R. Maryono Paing, CMF)
Lasiana, Kupang. Sebagai persiapan sebelum berangkat ke tanah misi, para frater yang tergabung dalam Misi Universal mendapat kursus tentang interkultural. Pembekalan ini berlangsung selama empat hari, yakni pada 4-7 Januari 2023, bertempat di Aula Claretian House, Kupang.
Tema umum yang menjadi bahan pembicaraan selama kursus ini adalah Komunitas Interkultural. Tujuan dari pemberian kursus ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman baru mengenai kehidupan misi di tempat para frater diutus. Harapannya agar sesampai di sana, para frater telah siap dengan segala sesuatu yang baru di tanah misi, yakni budaya, bahasa, cara hidup, cara berpikir, dan lain sebagainya.
Fr. Alfridus Sonsi Sandru, CMF, salah satu frater yang tergabung dalam Misi Universal mengaku bersyukur dan bahagia dengan program delegasi untuk mereka. Diakuinya bahwa kursus interkultural yang dilaksanakan selama empat hari ini memberinya insight baru yang membantunya untuk lebih mempersiapkan diri sebelum berangkat ke tanah misi. Sebab, dalam kursus tersebut, mereka mendapatkan materi tentang interkulturalitas, komunitas interkultural, formasi interkultural, tentang misi, dan tema-tema lain yang berkaitan tentang misi. Adapun juga materi yang terbingkai dalam sharing dari P. Aquilino Bocos Merino, CMF dan P. José Cristo Rey Garcia Paredes, CMF.
Selain mendapat materi dan teori, Fr. Frid, CMF juga menerangkan bahwa dalam kursus ini, para frater Misi Universal mendapat kesempatan untuk mendengar kisah dari para pemandu kursus, yakni dari P. Yohanes dari Salib Jeramu, CMF, P. Yoseph F. Melo, CMF, P. Francisco Baeza Roca, CMF, P. Valens Agino CMF, dan dari Fr. Gabriel Dion Klau, CMF tentang suka duka kehidupan di tanah misi di negara lain.
Para frater yang tergabung dalam Misi Universal kali ini berjumlah enam orang. Rinciannya, tiga frater mendapat perutusan ke Spanyol dan tiga frater lainnya mendapat perutusan ke Kolombia.
Lasiana,Kupang. Untuk mengisi waktu libur Natal dan Tahun Baru, Komunitas Seminari Hati Maria mengadakan kursus filsafat, pada 5-7 Januari 2023, bertempat di Aula Seminari Hati Maria, Kupang. Dalam kursus ini, para frater mendapat bimbingan langsung dari P. Peter Tan, SVD.
Dalam kursus tersebut, P. Peter membahas tentang tokoh-tokoh filsafat beserta permasalahan filosofis yang menjadi kekhasan pemikiran para filsuf yang bersangkutan. Terdapat enam tokoh yang menjadi materi kursus, yakni Heidegger (tentang kritik terhadap metafisika barat dan konsep tentang Ada), Immanuel Kant (tentang perdamaian abadi dan bangsa-bangsa setan), Jean Baudrillard (tentang tanda dalam masyarakat konsumsi dan informasi), Hannah Arendt (tentang tindakan politik dan banalitas kejahatan), Richard Rorty (tentang konsep manusia ironis liberal dan konsep solidaritas tanpa refleksi), dan Michael Sandel (tentang keadilan dan tirani meritokrasi).
P. Peter mengutarakan bahwa tujuan dari kursus ini adalah untuk merangsang daya kritis para frater dalam melihat fenomena-fenomena yang terjadi dalam masyarakat. Dengan bantuan para filsuf, diharapkan bahwa para frater bisa melihat situasi dalam masyarakat secara lebih bijak.
Selain itu, dalam beberapa kesempatan kursus, sebagai tindak lanjutnya, P. Peter menantang para frater untuk berani meneliti satu filsuf secara mendalam. Terlebih, P. Peter mengharapkan bahwa nantinya para frater mau menjadikan salah satu filsuf yang dibahas itu sebagai bahan untuk penulisan tugas akhir atau skripsi. P. Peter mendukung penuh para frater yang punya niat dan gairah untuk menulis skripsi tentang salah satu tokoh yang dibahas dalam kursus ini.
Para frater komunitas Seminari Hati Maria mengaku bahagia dengan kursus yang berlangsung selama tiga hari ini. Dengan bimbingan dari P. Peter, para frater bisa memahami dengan baik konsep-konsep filsafat dari tokoh-tokoh yang dibahas.
Pre Novitiate Claret, Kupang. “Today we begin a new academic year,” said Fr. Yohanes Mangge, CMF, the formator for Postulants in the introduction of the Eucharistic celebration at Pre Novitiate Claret (PNC) Kupang on Monday, September 2, 2019. Today the Pre Novitiate Claret community begins a new school year 2019-2020. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr. Yoma and was accompanied by Frs. Francisco Jose Baeza Roca, cmf (Local Superior) and Eusabius Toda, cmf (Formator of Aspirants)
One of the interesting sides that covered this celebration was the presence of the new members of the community. Aside from the postulants who already underwent one year earlier in the community, the Eucharistic celebration was attended by a fresh energetic faces of 40 Aspirants. The solid enthusiasm to undergo this new academic rhythm expressed fully through their participation in this holy Eucharist.
Listening is the key response and the expression of humility of a disciple. The beginning phase of learning process of a disciple is listening to the teaching of the masters. The attitude of listening enables a disciple to absorb the deepest meaning of his/her master’s teaching. Referring to the Gospel of Luke 4:16-30, Fr. Yoma underlined that the people in the Synagogue was angry to Jesus because they did not have the virtue of humility to listen to Jesus’ teaching. Their narrow-minded and cultural frame blocked their hearts in accepting the teaching of the Master.
Listening is the entrance door into the intellectual journey. Listening is not a passive expression, on the contrary it is an active approach in responding external stimulus. The main purpose of every single learning process is to form a solid-critical analysis and to build a paradigmatic argumentation in responding to the reality. In scientific domain this goal can only be obtained through listening. Thus, listening enables one to respond the reality critically as well as paradigmatically. Listening is the primary thesis in dialectic and in avoiding argumentation trap ad hominem, directed against a person’s character.
The celebration ended with the official announcement from the superior of the community that, “Today officially we begin the new academic year,” said Fr. Francisco JB. Roca, cmf.
Claretian Pre-Noviate, Kupang. Tuesday, August 13, 2019, on the day of the Feast of the Claretian Martyrs of Barbastro, 25 Aspirans firmly surrendered themselves to be accepted into postulancy in the Congregation of the Immaculate Hearts of Marry (Claretian Misisonaries). Fr. Frederikus Jampur, CMF as the representative of the Delegation Council led the Acceptance Mass. Some Claretians of several missions such as Macau, Philippines, Timor Leste, Jakarta, Kalimantan and Kupang took part in the Mass. Also present were the Claretian Missionary sisters and some lay-Claretians. In his homily, Fr. Fredy emphasized the importance of being a Spirit-filled follower of Christ. The 51 Claretian Martyrs of Barbastro dare to embrace suffering and even death because they were always open to the work of the Spirit. It is this same spirit that should always be brought and carried on by the Claretians, specifically the 25 new postulants. “A Claretian should have both the smelling of God and a heart opened to the work of the Spirit in his entire missionary journey”, he said.
After the Mass was continued with Claretian-style Celebration. It was clear that this joy was not only felt by the 25 new postulants, but also all those present. Mario, one of the Postulants, represented the 24 other postulants, expressing his abundant gratitude to God for showing His love to them through the Claretian Congregation. Their joy is also the joy of the Congregation. By being accepted as Postulants, they were aware of the greater responsibility that should carry on. “Being a postulant means being an example for others”, asserted Mario.
May the spirit of the Claretian Martyrs of Barbastro always urges our brother Postulants in the journey of their Vocation. We pray that the Lord sets their hearts on the fire of His love.

Organisms and members of the Claretian Family of ASCLA East gathered on
12 February 2019 in view of the preparations for the upcoming ASCLA
East Youth Gathering or commonly known as AEYG in Claretian Family (AEYG
2019 + CF) that would be held at the Saint Joseph Parish in Aimutin, Dili, the capital of East Timor. The theme would be “THE SOLIDARITY OF CHRIST IMPELS US…. “GO, SELL, SHARE AND FOLLOW“. The following are those present in the meeting:

Previously, the Claretian Family of Indonesia – Timor Leste had a
meeting on 29-31 January where the RMI Sisters (Sr. Dina and Sr. Erna)
were present including Frs. Augusto Campos, Nikolaus Ilan, and
Ferdinandus Melo, CMFF, and 45 Lay Leaders from Aimutin St. Joseph
Parish.
Under the leadership of Fr. Louie Guades III, CMF of the Philippine Province, the Superiors and representatives of the different branches of the Claretian Family, as well as after the approval of the then Major Superiors of ASCLA East in 2013, the first AEYG + CF was first celebrated in Quezon City, Philippines in August of 2015. It was the first time that the different branches of the Claretian Family in Asia (CMF, RMI, MSAMC, Lay Claretians) gathered together and worked as a team to journey with the young Asians. Two Organisms from ASCLA West also joined the said gathering. The main idea of the gathering is to come together like that of the WYD + CF and re-echo that which has transpired during the World Youth Day (celebrated somewhere in the world other than the ASCLA East Region) since not all/many can participate such international events. It is also a venue for formation, encounter, sharing of faith and culture for the youth and for the Claretian Family of the region. It is celebrated every two years and thought to be celebrated in different countries under the care of ASCLA East. The AEYG 2017 + Cf was held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia in 2017 headed by Fr. Yohanes DariSalib Jeramu, CMF together with his counterparts in the Claretian Family of Indonesia-Timor Leste Delegation.
